Revision of Codes of Practice for
Minimum Fire Service Installations and Equipment and
Inspection, Testing and Maintenance of Installations and Equipment
(July 2005 Version)
Dear Members,
The Codes of Practice (CoP) are formulated under Section 16(1)(b)(ii) of the Buildings Ordinance, Cap. 123 and Regulation 10 of the Fire Service (Installations and Equipment) Regulations, Cap. 95B. As the existing CoP have been put into force for years since 16 December 2005, the Fire Services Department considers that it is timely to update its contents in order to incorporate, inter alia, various provisions of fire service requirements promulgated in the FSD Circular Letters and any other requirements applicable to prevailing situations.
